5.2/10

My stay was a bit of a mixed bag. The location was fantastic, right near Battery Park and Ground Zero, which made sightseeing super easy. However, the service left much to be desired, with long wait times and a lack of attentiveness from staff. The dining options were decent, but they felt a bit overpriced for what was offered.

Rooms
6.0
The room was reasonably spacious and clean, which was a nice change from many other New York hotels. However, I experienced issues with heating; my room was cold during my stay, and it just didn’t feel comfortable.
Service
5.0
Unfortunately, the service was pretty disappointing. I had to wait two hours at check-in for no apparent reason, and when I needed assistance with my luggage, I had to do it myself because there were no bellmen available. This really soured the experience for me.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is its biggest asset. Being close to all the major attractions like the 9/11 Memorial and the Statue of Liberty was super convenient, and the area felt safe even at night, making it easy for me to explore the city without worries.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were convenient but a bit lacking. The American breakfast was okay but not worth the $16.95 price tag. I felt that the choices were pretty limited, and there could be more variety offered.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel facilities are what you’d expect, but I wish things were more welcoming. Services like grocery shopping were available, yet the overall vibe lacked the warmth and attentiveness I’m used to from Marriott properties.

5.8/10

My stay at the New York Marriott Downtown was decent overall. The spacious rooms, especially for a family of four, were a plus, but I did find the lobby space rather cramped. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the 9/11 Memorial and subway stations. However, service wasn’t always consistent, especially in the restaurant, where the morning staff felt less friendly compared to the evening team.

Rooms
8.0
The Junior Suite I stayed in was larger than most NYC hotel rooms, featuring amazing views of One World Trade Center and Ellis Island. However, the layout felt a bit odd, and the bathroom lighting was poor, making it difficult for me to do my hair and makeup. Additionally, I noticed a lack of proper window coverings, which compromised my privacy.
Service
6.0
While the hotel staff was friendly and very helpful, the restaurant staff's service varied greatly. The evening team made dining feel much more welcoming than the morning crew, who didn’t exhibit the same warmth.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is unbeatable, just minutes away from the 9/11 Memorial and Battery Park, where I could even glimpse the Statue of Liberty from afar. It's a quiet area, yet very close to subway stations, making it convenient for exploring the city.
Dining
7.0
Dining at Bill's Bar and Burger was convenient, but I wouldn’t call the food really good. I found better options at nearby restaurants for a similar price. Breakfast offerings, however, included a nice range but lacked some high-quality options.
Facilities
7.0
The overall facilities were clean and provided useful services like dry cleaning and grocery shopping. However, the lack of Wi-Fi in rooms and a decent microwave was disappointing for a hotel of this caliber.

5.2/10

I had a mix of experiences during my stay at New York Marriott Downtown. The location was fantastic, being close to the World Trade Center and public transportation, which made exploring the city easier. However, the service at the restaurant was inconsistent, and I encountered a perplexing 'destination fee' that added unexpected charges to my bill. Overall, I enjoyed my stay but felt there were areas for improvement.

Rooms
7.0
My room was well-maintained and clean, but it was a bit chilly, and I noticed some damaged surfaces in the bathroom. The view was great, though, especially of the Hudson River.
Service
5.0
While the hotel staff were generally welcoming and responsive, the restaurant staff lacked friendliness in the mornings. I also faced significant communication gaps regarding the baby crib request.
Location
9.0
The location is a huge plus, just a short walk from the 9/11 Memorial and multiple subway stations. I felt safe and enjoyed being in such a vibrant area.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were disappointing; the breakfast was quite basic, and there was no buffet available, which I expected. Drinks in the lounge weren’t complimentary either, which was odd.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered various facilities like dry cleaning and grocery shopping services, which were convenient, but the extra charges for things I did not use were frustrating.

6.6/10

I enjoyed my stay at the New York Marriott Downtown, especially because of its unbeatable location near the World Trade Center and various restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable, although the bathroom lacked a fan, which made it a bit steamy. Overall, it was a great budget-friendly option in a prime area, even if there were some minor service hiccups.

Rooms
8.0
The room was modern and well-equipped, with comfortable beds and plenty of windows providing decent views. However, the layout felt a bit odd, and the bathroom lacked proper ventilation, causing steam buildup.
Service
8.0
The staff were generally pleasant and helpful, assisting with bag storage. Nevertheless, my experience was marred by some communication issues and delays, particularly during check-in and when requesting additional items.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was fantastic. situated just minutes from Battery Park and the ferry to Liberty Island, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. I felt safe walking around the vibrant area, even at night.
Dining
8.0
Dining options included Bill's Burger Bar and an on-site Starbucks, which was convenient. While the burger I had was delicious, the menu was quite limited. don't expect fine dining here.
Facilities
8.0
Facilities were satisfactory, including in-room safe, iron, and hairdryer. The hotel offered daily housekeeping, and the valet service was available, albeit at a steep price.

7.4/10

I had a great stay at the New York Marriott Downtown, enjoying the spacious room, convenient location, and friendly service. However, I found the breakfast prices quite steep and felt the daily resort fees were unnecessary. Overall, it was a solid choice for my trip, but a few improvements could make it even better.

Rooms
8.0
I stayed in a two-double bed room that was surprisingly spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable, and the view from the top floor was nice, but I wished for a queen bed. Overall, it met my needs well.
Service
7.0
The staff was pleasant and quick to respond to requests, which I appreciated. However, there were some communication gaps at check-in regarding breakfast for extra guests that could have been better addressed.
Location
9.0
The location was perfect for me—super close to attractions like the 9/11 Memorial and the subway. It was nice to be in a quieter area while still being convenient to everything.
Dining
7.0
I wasn't impressed with the breakfast offerings and felt they were overpriced for what was available. The hotel restaurant, Bill's Burger Bar, was decent for lunch or dinner, but nothing to write home about.
Facilities
7.0
The amenities were decent, with a mini fridge and basic bathroom essentials. However, I did encounter a lack of necessary items like extra blankets and bathroom necessities that I expected.
